Website question?

Hey, I've been reorganizing my church's website. I'm trying to provide information that anyone would want who might decide to visit the church. If any of you are game, would you be willing to look at the web page and tell me if you see any important information you'd want to know about a church that you find to be missing?

If you find something (or don't) and it fits into what our church offers, it might help me make some needed updates.

Ed: Tim, while the church address and phone number do appear quite clearly at the bottom of the Home page would try to put them where they might be seen more readily. It may just be me but having to scroll down or other wise hunt for a churches contact info is a turn off.
Other wise I think you provide some much needed info very well.

It looks like a good website. Some of the tabs do not seem populated, but I like what you have done.

That's a good church website. It tells me pretty much everything I would want to know before visiting, and I'd be comfortable visiting. The pictures, on every page, say a lot about the church and its people.

Looks like you had a nice turnout and good experience on Christmas Eve.

One little irritant to me was the useless back arrow on the second and third of these screenshots. Follow the items circled in red...

Looking at the calendar for Saturday I clicked on the evening chapel service and then on the (circled) More Details link:

The additional, rather skimpy info page opened in a new tab, where I note in passing the oddness of having a "Calendar" field that is an email address, but then when I clicked on the (circled) arrow that looks like it should take me back to a previous page, instead it takes me to a completely blank calendar, and the (circled) back arrow there takes me nowhere...

Brings out the OCD in me...

But anyhow, it's certainly, overall, a good church website and one that would not discourage me from visiting if I were looking for a church to visit in Iowa...

I'll take a look at the calendar. I may have no control over that problem though as this is a Google calendar and all we do is drop the code into the website. Google handles the layout of the calendar. So the only other option I know of would be to replace it with another calendar app.

Ed, I rearranged the website to put the contact information up higher. Thanks for the input. I think it is an improvement!

I also can't help doing a bit of fatherly bragging. This website http://amesucc.org was designed by my daughter who is the Office Administrator for Ames UCC. She was also the photographer for almost all the photos.
