Wild Weekends

For those of you who are pastoring or have pastored, any stories about wild busy weekends?

This weekend probably was one of my busiest at least in a long time. Yesterday I had both a wedding and a funeral (rehearsal the night before) along with my usual Saturday evening service. Today I taught Sunday School, had a baptism in the morning service and am now prepping for our Sunday eve contemporary service.

I'm sure I'll sleep well tonight.

LOL Sandy. No, as you guessed, we rehearsed the wedding.

All in all I'd have taken an extra day off today. But I already had a schedule for the day that couldn't be changed. I'll take a little extra time towards the end of the week if I can.

One of the ladies in my last church came from a UMC church. I sometimes pick at her about that. Some of the church are not exactly on board with my successor, a much younger pastor.

So...the former Methodist lady said, "Yeah, if this was a Methodist church we could have gotten rid of the pastor after his first year."

...but sure...stay a long time, Timothy and have a fruitful ministry.
