The point here isn't about whether these references match up exactly with the immigration situation as it currently exists. The point is the principles found in both testaments regarding immigrants is that they are to be welcomed, and provided with hospitality in the name of God. And it is not really difficult to see that the practices advocated by some candidates who claim to be evangelical conservative Christians, of nullifying the constitution and then deporting all of those who sought refuge here, and refusing to provide a little basic humanitarian aid are not consistent with those Biblical principles.
