New Worship Service

My church is starting a new worship service today. We've been working towards our start date for several months. The service is the first Sunday evening service I've done in years. The timing is aimed at younger adults and maybe some students at the college next door who find an evening worship time more appealing than getting up early.

So we now have a service Sat. at 5:30p, Sunday at 10:00a, and Sunday night at 7p. This evening's service is a casual contemporary service in our fellowship hall with a praise band playing a mix of new and favorite contemporary music as well as preaching and weekly communion.

In that vein, I'm curious what your churches offer as far as worship services, times, styles, etc?

The fastest growing BC in Huntsville has an eye catching electronic billboard announcement every Sunday after about 1:00pm “You Have Not Missed Church Yet. 5:30 Worship Service”.

Added: Guess I missed that your 5:30 pm service is on Saturday. Still like the Willowbrook BC sign.

Interesting list of classes, but (in my capacity as spelling Nazi) it's "Ignatian", not "Ignation", unless it's somehow Canadian, which I don't associate with Huntsville... (Sorry)

We have a contemporary, informal service on Saturday evening at 6:00. The congregation gathers around tables in the fellowship hall, the music is contemporary, accompanied by acoustic guitar, and the "sermon" is interactive. Then we have a Sunday morning service at 10:45 that is contemporary, with a small praise band. The Saturday night service tends to be younger, more singles, fewer families, since there's no Bible study option.

Do you preach the same sermon in all three services, Tim?
