I enjoy the lively debates here but will continue to be away for a bit.

The snows came, ice came, and both are now going. But, we have an elderly relative in another state that has experienced a major speed bump and we are working to try to keep our loved one from being bilked out of life savings, and instead activate long standing financial plans. Elder abuse hot line had to be called, as well as police, and we are hopeful to see our loved one safely in assisted living and protected from fraud.

Please pray for our loved one, for us to have wisdom, and debate on! I do read here and there when I have time and am not on the phone handling this messy business. May entail an emergency trip to Oklahoma.

Thanks! Should be burning up the phone wires again Monday. Please specifically pray for the meeting scheduled for Monday where hopefully our loved one will activate the third party administrator she chose when in a better state of health and mind. They will manage her funds quite well and in her best interests.

Thank you for all who prayed! The situation is only partly resolved at the moment, but we were for now able to stop someone from bilking her out of her life savings. She is moving to hopefully better living situation, but not the best. She really needs assisted living but is not quite blind enough or senile enough to force the issue. Continued prayers needed during the move.

During all of this there was also a nasty car wreck with extended family suffering a brain injury. That too seems to be healing well.

Still dealing with lawyers and banks and dhs, etc. But things seem to be at least not worsening, and the predator seems to realize any further moves will bring the police to his door.

At this point not planning to head for OK.

I'm glad it's on the way to resolution. There are so many situations in which elderly people get bilked by others. Praying that it continues to get better.
