Hallowe'en with the Rosses

After I got done Halloween caroling with the Sacred Harpers at 17th East and Aloha, I headed down to Japanese Baptist Church, where Paula (Pavlina) was working at the Autumn Leaf festival. Here we are singing from my water resistant Denson outtakes in the JBC gym.

Sandy: Japanese Baptist Church is on the edge of Downtown Seattle, and the only harvest in the neighborhood is in window boxes in high rise apartments now that the historic Yesler Terrace housing area is being bulldozed under and replaced with new higher mixed use housing and commercial buildings. Autumn leaves we have in abundance . Plus part of the sanctuary is a window wall that looks out into a lovely enclosed Japanese garden. We are very much connected with the changing of the seasons.

We certainly get 4 seasons here. Our winter's are more chilly and wet than bone chilling cold and snowy, but if you like to ski or just play in the snow, there's plenty a short time east of Seattle in the Cascades most of the year, and some lesser used passes are shut down for the winter. We do get a little snow in the metropolitan area, but it rarely lasts long. "White Christmas" is usually a song on the radio.
