So when did Joel Gregory get divorced, and when did he remarry? A says November 1994 and July 30, 1994, respectively. There does not appear to be a Wikipedia article about him.

That's a fascinating anecdote, and of course it would be nice to hear the rest of the conversation. I agree the SBC stuff is more important than the marital history, but I would be interested in knowing how much time elapsed between divorce and remarriage. I am guessing one of the years is misstated; if not, and the error is simply one of transposition, then I have other questions about him.

I like JG although I haven't heard him preach for some years. He writes well also. He is on his third marriage, divorced twice.

I read Gregory's book (about FBC Dallas) many years ago. The question I had then, and now, is why did Criswell decide to -- and announce -- retirement...and then, when Gregory shows up...Criswell changed his mind. He had no right to change his mind at that point. Very unethical.
