The poll offers only two options: Does the Bible condemn homosexual practices or not?

You also stated: " I am NOT talking about the condition of a person being predisposed to homosexuality or a sexual preference. I am talking about actively engaging in homosexuality."

If you allow that people are predisposed to a sexual preference, those actively engaging in heterosexual activity could be questioned as well. Our society--and some writers of the Bible--approve sexual expression for heterosexuals within certain constraints, but not for homosexuals. In Massachusetts, and now California, opinions are being offered that there should be societal approval of some sort of sexual expression between homosexuals--in both cases, a legalized marriage relationship.

The poll, as written, assumes (or questions) responders Biblical views, and could have been edited to read, "Are you an inerrantist? Yes or No."

Chrisr may not have spoken directly to the issue of homosexuality but we do have in the gospels, His statement of speaking to the specifics of marriage.

Mark 10:6-9 (KJV)
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Man – anthropos (gk) in connection with the just used arrhen (gk) = male
Wife – gune (gk) female

If Jesus wanted to have the homosexual lifestyle acceptable to Himself and this world, don’t you think He would have spoken to such an issue, since He did speak to the heterosexual issue?

Just a question here. I see where Harvey Fierstein, known Jewish gay activist and promenant drag Queen is set to play the lead part in a new production of Fiddler on the Roof.

What is the Jewish Community’s take on homosexuality – now and in biblical times?

Any scholars care to elucidate?
