MLovell when I read the remark "I am trying to get you to look at what you believe and why you believe it[,]" I was absolutely astounded. I hold one undergraduate and three graduate degrees, including one Ph.D., and apart from such academic training, have taught grade school, high school, and all manner of college students (undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students [yeah, even other faculty members]), and have been told by several people that I am reasonably intelligent (boy, have I really fooled folks!), yet given this, I would never presume that you need to learn from me or need my instruction as to what you believe or why you believe such. I find you to be a keenly insightful individual with an unusually high degree of competence and skill in the art and science of communication, not to mention one who is extremely wise, something that is obviously the result of reflection that has been and is tempered by a maturity which represents vast and significant experience. And, goodness, I was able to draw this assessment of you long before Keith joined our discussions at BaptistLife. How did you get by for so long and, now, how will you get by without his help? I hope you continue to do so given that your insights enrich my life and inform my faith.
