Occupy is being ignored by Media

Like most things American these days, it's all about money and easy ratings.

I liken the Occupy Wallstreet expressions to Watergate. The American public is tiring of a busted economy brought on by turned heads and lack of regulation on banks and investment firms.

It is sad when popularity directs the news. The days of Investigative Journalism that brought out the truth on Watergate took guts on the part of the Washington Post and its editor. To go against the current is hard, but needed.

I could care less the number of mentions of major newspapers. More telling would be the mentions from FOX News, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, and ABC.

For what it's worth, was the cover story in Pacific Northwest Magazine, a section of the Sunday Seattle Times.

The problem of the busted economy is getting worse. I am right at the forefront owning my Tree Surgery Business. Hurricane Irene gave us plenty of business until the 2nd week of December. Instantly it stopped.

Under normal circumstances the Spring gets things going about March-April as people start cleaning up their yards.

This year it is totally dead for me and all the other Tree Companies here in Beaufort County. Some people are raising and restoring their houses. They are re-establishing sea walls and piers---but trees are their last thing in mind: "If it's not on my house anymore, forget about that stump or those hanging limbs. We have no money to spend."

It's lovely with this mess to see TV stations getting millions in political ads. Somebody had best start paying attention. More serious revolt is in the winds as I talk with my fellow small business owners. We are getting desperate! No joke.
