Look---we can cite all kinds of predictions and try to deny the facts: Oil and coal are limited on this planet / no matter what they are going to run out / much of their use is poluting the atmosphere / we have but 2 choices:

* Find other sourcs of energy
* Get a bicycle and ride

For one, Keith, your chart is irrelevant. A graph showing declining oil production in the U.S. does nothing to prove oil is running out. Obama & Co. and all the other lefties have, for the last 30 or 40 years, made it almost impossible to increase domestic production with their restrictions on domestic exploration. They prattled on about how we can't drill out way out of the "problem", have restricted producers from producing more domestically and then you want to throw up a chart showing that declining U.S. production is due to use running out of oil? Now that's an intellectually solid argument there, Keith.

Oil as a transportation fuel has only been around for barely over 100 years. Do either of you wish to predict what type of fuel will be meeting our transportation needs 100 years from now?

Gene, since you desire to get back to corporations raping you, be sure to give those corporations a call that produce the equipment for your tree trimming business and vent your disgust at them for violating you.

I've seen several places recently that stated we (the US) are now exporting more oil than we are importing. Also have read that the pipeline from Canada to bring the oil found there will mostly bring oil to be exported, not used here.

I'm wondering why, if that's true, aren't we using that oil here and not importing any?

When American Oil companies can make more exporting oil or jobs----they do just that!

I'm wondering if any corporation or wealthy individual has love for anything but money. Jesus made it crystal clear that the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. That has not changed and ethics seem to disappear when money is involved these days.

Take a look at Europe with few trees today. They clear cut them and now must build houses of masonary which average citizens can't afford.

We have been smart enough in this country to replant forests---but it had to be mandated of timber companies. Otherwise, we tend to be after the buck and could care less about future generations.

This, of course, goes out the window when the rich folks talk about taxes and a rising deficit!!! If they just pay their fair share and look to the long-range future, we can solve this problem. Meanwhile Big Oil is a greedy swamp and their PAC dollars perpetuate the quagmire.
