I learned last week, while listening to a right-wing talk show that Karen Handel (Vice-Pres for Public Policy with Komen- Foundation) had been a anti-abortion candidate for Governor of the great State of Georgia. Georgia had the good sense to elect someone else.
Handel then went on to a job with the Komen Foundation with an agendum aimed at ceasing Komen's support for Planned Parenthood to do breast exams (NOT abortions). This whole mess was Handel's doing. The Komen Foundation suffered what may be irreparable damage.
Today, Handel did the right thing and resigned.
