Friend Hauro, when I moderated making fun of someone else's name was a major no no that lead to some suspensions.

I like some things you say Gene. But making fun of someone's name is beneath a 6th grader much less an adult. Ed and I often don't agree (though oddly now that I've become a Wesleyan we seem to agree a little more often) I certainly defend the right to expect that his good name will not be maligned here.

I owe Ed an apology for messing with his name. I guess it's the "Scar-bury-you" in me. Like most people, I have a tendency to blow off steam at times when a person is always stuck in a rut and won't be budged. Sadly, I find it too often with Ed's approach, and I must simply see it as "that's Ed for us."

I hope you read within the last few days the compliment I gave Ed in another thread he wisely started so I hope this proves I can respect him at times. None of us need to think we are on "Dancing With the Stars" every week anyway!

Please take this as my public expression of contrition. I have sinned and beg your forgiveness. I shall do my best to be more respectful in the future.
