First, it was their immigration law, which directly violates the constitution, now the Arizona legislature has come up with its own standards for candidates for President of the United States, to define "native born citizen."
Apparently, there are some "birthers" among the state legislators in my home state. They've had some education issues in Arizona for a long time, namely underfunded schools and sagging test scores. Well, here's an example of what happens when people don't know their social studies. They become a public embarassment with their ignorance.
This "birther" stuff is absolutely amazing. Even Donald Trump is getting in on the act, making noise like he might run for President himself. The White House has to be jumping for joy over that prospect. And the fact that he's bought into the birther nonsense is, like those Arizona legislators, evidence that he is not fit to run or hold office.
The President had to establish his qualifications for election with legal documentation before he could ever get on the first ballot. You can believe whatever you want to, but the state of Hawaii has certified the documents he submitted, end of story. There is not a scrap of evidence that has been submitted to prove otherwise.
Poor Arizona. They're stuck with their governor and legislature for at least two more years.
