Hope everyone enjoyed the prexy’s “update.” In this forum, they should have. I made it all the way through and figured that he impressed nobody with brains. My take: . Instead of speaking from the Oval Office, he made an extravaganza of the affair and fixed it so he could look DOWN at the military brass and let them know just how low they actually are, in his estimation. He made it clear that he’s the commander-in-chief and that he’ll send them anywhere any time he takes a notion, especially, one presumes, without explaining anything to the Congress or the people. It took a lot of gall to attempt to face down his tormentors, who understand just how clueless he is, but he has that much.
