Interesting that the first time I heard of human caused pollution (by burning of crude oil products) making climate change I read in the late 1950s from a book written in the early 1950s.

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) was founded in 1988.
ain't it interesting that they started the propagana "notion" in the early 1950s
(well, late 1950s is when I became aware, quite a bit before 1988

There is a fluxuation of earth temperature that is NOT caused by use of fossil fuels.
The Medieval Warming Period (MWP) from 1000 to 1300 caused by the sun's output.
The current period should be a cooling period of about the same depth that the MWP high;
instead, things are warming up. Those who add up signed numbers know that -3C average
cooling to +2C average heating is FIVE DEGREES UP.
The current heating crises is caused by use of fossil fuels. and only the humans are using the
fossil fuels.

For those of you who contend warming and cooling don't exist and we should not be concerned---come visit near Fayetteville, NC, in the Sandhills section on the upper edge of the Coastal Plain. There you find the remains of the sandy shores of NC eons ago. Also, come to Arora where a large open pit Phsophate Mine operates. They are digging up eons of oceanic creature remains whose decomposed and dead bodies laid down 1,000's feet thick layers of debris, now rich in phosphates!

I contend that the clear-cutting of forests in S.A. is the reason we are having more and more violent hurricanes. As those storms come off Africa and pass by South America, the heating of unprotected super hot earth whips them up into a fury we have not yet seen---even with Katrina!

NC 64 is a 4-lane ribbon of highway whose convection currents now direct rain events to the east and north rather than continuing to the area in which I live. Large machines / emissions / depletion of renewable resources can and will wipe us off this fragile planet if we don't cooperate with God's creation.

Just keep dreaming---and be sure to put your coastal dwellings on stilts as the ocean levels rise ever so slowly. Northern glaciers are melting and that water enters the ocean with possible devastating effects. It changes salinity / effects the Gulf Stream and other temperature transferance systems which have maintained us in the past---a past full of climatic events we are just now beginning to understand. Mankind has been here for about the last 10 minutes of a year-long movie called "The Earth."

Here is another "Global warming" factor----in NC we are experinencing record highs over the last several days. It is sooner than before and it is more than hot!!!

Step outside and see if you still believe it is a fantasy!!!

If you bothered to read my posts, you would realize the futility of your last post "exposing" my graph.
The graph is proof positive that GLOBAL WARMING is happening. The amount of Global warming shown
there is 0.47°C when you compare certain years with other years. Recall that you can put one hand
in 15.00°C water and the other hand in 15.47°C water and NOT be able to discern the difference.
So it is obvious you speak from ignorance (not knowing). Yet I have taught you everything I know
and you are not accepting it at all.

Here is you a question you should know the answer to. Like the GW question is fact (the AGW question
is still opinion) the answer is a fact. The way you feel, your opinion, group opinion, the question
has an answer that is Right.
(recall that BC = Before Christ and AD = Annoi Dommoni (my Latin spelling is bad) meaning Year of the Lord.
So all time is thereby divided into two parts by these desinattions.)

Common answers to the question are:
1. two minutes
1. one year (the year Zero) and two minutes

Oh goodness, the first line of your reference says:

The "clowns" come from two groups:

1. groups of concerned citizens (including those from all religions) worldwide who
think that human activity is causing GLOBAL WARMING and we need to have done
something about it starting twenty years ago. BTW (by the way), those groups are
running into the BILLIONS now.

2. A minority of knuckle dragging religious fanatics/political fanatics
who think that the world will end 21 Dec 2012. Their error is reading
the Mayan "Calendar on a Stone" wrong. The stone writing ends, the
writers (chippers?) having reached the already written on part. The writing
has to end, the calendar ends, the earth will still be here on 22 Dec 2012
(if the Lord taries).

Sorry, unless we change our attitudes about reality and doing something about GLOBAL WARMING (instead of dragging our feet),
there will be a turning point due to the melting of the artic permafrost. Seems that by 30,000 years ago (that would be aboun BC 28,000),
about all the methane that is now underground in the Artic was collected together. THis methane (if we hide our heads in the
denier's sand) has begun begin leaking into the atmosphere. Current warming trend, if maintained, will have a serious disaster of
increased Global Warming within 20 years (2030+). Methane is ten times the greenhouse gas that Carbon Doxide is. BTW, i have use a very
conservative estimate in listing NOTICABLE CHANGE by 2030. It may already be too late to stop the Turning Point which will arrive before 2020.
The margin of error on these figures Is such that we cannot be 99% sure UNTILL THE DISASTER HAPPENS

Warning, my Brothers in Christ:
the people of the world are going to notice someday that the feet draggers are bothers to those religionists who
believe in a literal (and very unimaginative) 6 each 24-hour-days creation. (un- bibical statement follows: )
Therefore the creation started on the second Monday in March BC 4004. Therefor the non-believers (in AGW) who deny
what the Bible says (compared to what makes sense) say that that methane is NOT their problem.
These folks also miss the part where God specifically says that God gave Adam (and his followers) dominion over the earth.
Before God could give dominion over the earth, God had to give mankind the ability TO RUIN the earth. Totally unBiblical
backing for the logic there.

and God called me to tell you this message (sunday School lesson last week was on the Call of Jeremiah)
people are going to lump the liberal, progresive, and conservative religionists with those who have logically escaped
into hyper-fundie-land where logic, thinking, and common sense are post-it-noted to the cover of the Bible so it
will not disturb thier phony view of reality.

Folks---

Take a look at the severity of tornados this Spring / the severity of Katrina / the clearcutting of rainforests in S.A. / the pollution put out in other manufacturing nations with NO regulation on pollution nor the destruction of streams and fish population.

The US can and has done many things to protect the environment---only to have corporate production move overseas where they don't have to worry about environmental regulations. It's the cheaper way to get rich quick, BUT mother earth is not mocked and she is totally capable of putting us back in any age which kept man at bay as he tried to use this earth's natural resources only for personal gain and exploitation.

Is it possible earlier civilizations exploited this planet and mankind was put back to the cave over pre-historical stuff us men did to this planet???

I think so!!!!

Why be so stupid as to violate the law of continuous replinishment when we cooperate with natural laws instead of use and abuse them for personal profit???

I appeciate your bringing it to us. It is real and we must pay attention and, somehow, get other on this small planet to realize that what goes on with them circulates around the globe to determine whether it is inhabitable or not for years into the future.
