Well I revisted my math (with EXCEL this time) and I was wrong in the details. Looks like with the UAH AMSU satellite data, 2010 will most likely be the second warmest year to 1998. I'm my haste this morning I miscalculated the 1998 Jan-Nov average as being 0.497C instead of 0.540C which is the correct value (the 0.527C average for 2010 Jan-Nov was correct). So they are very close and it is unlikey that Dec will have an average anomaly of greater than 0.41C in which case 2010 would be the hottest year in this dataset.
And the least squares fit yields a trend of 0.14C/decade not 0.20C/decade which was calculated to endpoints which can be misleading. My apologies. The rest of my post still stands.
Nontheless, 2010 is hardly a year to say "Global Warming has Died" being either the highest or second hottest year in 3 differing datasets since records have been kept.
