It’s refreshing when people who actually know what they’re talking about simply say they have almost no clue with respect to the changes in weather. The current cooling trend that’s been in place since 1995 is a mystery, just as anything having to do with weather is a mystery. Actually, a bit of further warm-up that occurred about 1975-95 would be welcome, eventuating in more food from land considered not arable now because of climate. It hasn’t been that long ago that crops were raised in Greenland but now this is virtually impossible and has been for quite some time. The decade 2000-2010 (although this December is smashing all predictions worldwide for coldness and resultant weather catastrophes) is about the same as the period 1930-40, so what else is new? Come on, guys. The science on this has been all but universally accepted. Global Warming is real and humans are contributing to it greatly.

You know, David, I'm sure you're a nice guy and I bet we'd have a blast sitting down with each other to hash over church stories, talk sports, tell some jokes and all that. Theologically, we'd be very close and would have a grand time discussing matters of faith. I would go so far as to say that we'd prolly want our families get together for some meals, too.

But on the issue of Global Warming, if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

Keith is right on this. Global Warming is real.

It doesn't mean there won't be colder weather in many places but that the average temperature world-wide is rising. And that is true: 2010 was the hottest year on record.

Global Warming doesn't mean there won't be record colds or no record snow falls. Quite the contrary. What Global Warming does mean is that there are more extremes, both heat and cold, rain and drought, etc. The climate becomes more extreme as weather pattern shifts, causing the oceans to heat up and rain to fall in extreme where it use to be a smaller amount (Southern CA); drought where there used to be moderate rain (Middle East & Africa); and extreme precipitation events increase (floods in the Southeast; bigger snows in the Middle Atlantic states; extreme frigid temps in Mid West & North East).

Global Warming doesn't mean it is hotter all the time but that the extremes are bigger. If anything, this extreme temperature shift only proves Global Warming is real, not fantasy.

Now if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to insert a hyper link on this board /forum, I would be forever grateful since I cannot get it to work as on other forums.

But if RH is right and agrees with Flick, RH becomes wrong by his own admission, but that can’t be right because RH is already right…or maybe that makes Flick right, since RH agrees with him, but RH has already said Flick is wrong, meaning ultimately that RH is wrong…but that can’t be because RH has already………… .

Though somewhat sanguinary, the solution to the anthropogenic warming is simply to cut down on the number of people who insist upon breathing and then exhaling that noxious CO2. China and India together own 37% of the world’s population (eight times that of the U.S.) and also are the worst polluters vis-à-vis mechanical shenanigans. Doing away with those populations might easily induce a new Ice Age, which seems to be the aim of the alarmists; however, both nations have nuclear weapons so this could be a bit dicey even though offing over a third of the world’s breathers has obvious advantages, not to mention shutting down all those Chinese coal mines and Indian funereal pyres. Indeed, 60% of the world’s population resides in Asia alone, so how would it be if the UN cobbled together a consortium of the other five continents where people live (Antarctica is out, notwithstanding those intelligent penguins) in a nuke-Asia project?

This makes about as much sense as the alarmists, who continue to fabricate manmade global warming through outright lies wrapped in pseudo-data fueled by various government grants and in spite of the obvious frauds perpetrated by the high-profile deceivers such as the Mann, CRU, UNIPCC cabal. Cancun was even a worse joke than Copenhagen.
