I think the question is scarry. I'm doing temporary work for the Census Bureau and wonder when I will encounter one of these armed idiots who will force me or one of my co-workers off his property. It's a real question for those of us just trying to collect confidential information that can't even be shared with either the IRS or with Immigration and Naturalization for 72 years.

Of course half the survivalist types and maybe the government of Arizona think the problem really is that while IRS should never get that data, INS should get it before you even ask. ;-(

Imagine if the Tea Party was behind the often violent protests in Arizona against their recently passed anti-illegal immigration law.

Also for clarification, the march was not "protesting illegal immigrants".

As a native Arizonan, and with plenty of family still there, I can set the record straight here. The few violent instances that have occurred surrounding the protests against the Jan Brewer law have been the result of tea partiers and other counter-protesters who think that their opinion entitles them to shut down anyone who disagrees. It also seems like the size and scope of the protests might be enough to get people thinking that the voters might just shove a few more Republicans out of Congress and the Senate out there. So they are out to stir up trouble and blame it on the protesters.

Almost by definition, there are anarchists and then there are anarchists. Some are basically as nice folks as you could hope to meet, others practically live the worst reputation of the term. And even the latter are usually motivated by the desire to see good come forth out of chaos. As someone on a different part of the spectrum once averred, they believe that it has become "necessary to destroy the village in order to save it".
