Idiots at ICE

I'm reading today that ICE has said it will not give flu vaccines to migrants in detention. Flu is a serious disease. If it gets established in these detention facilities, it will be spread to the communities around them. Then all of us will have a serious dose of the flu. Also, this has a sound of wanting to have deaths in these facilities, especially of young children. Doesn't this rise to be a moral issue, not just a political one? Oh, when does it also become a public health issue? Does this even border on potential genocide, the way it did when we spread white diseases to whole native American tribes so they were eliminated from the land we wanted?

Maybe they're just protecting innocent criminals (detainees) from the terrible health consequences of vaccines, which the President is aware of in his heart (?) of hearts.

I would bank on all his children and grandchildren having had their shots, despite his conspiracy theories for public consumption. This is purely racist and absolutely cruel.

The orange hair has admitted to the cruel and inhumane treatment as a "deterrent". The biggest deterrent would be to restore the aid to the Central American countries where most of the refugees are coming from. The political problems that have continuously created the instability in Central America are the result of years of American interference in their governmental affairs, mainly to prevent communist dictatorships from forming. The amount of money that it would take to stabilize the governments, restore order and stop the stream of refugees is a drop in the bucket and its not like it is a handout. They've earned it for what our government has done there.
