4 Months of Fox News Lies

Postby KeithE » Tue May 14, 2019 6:40 am

From Media Matters

Fox’s “news” side pushes misinformation every single day

Many lies each day almost as bad as Trump’s 11.8 lies a day average.

Right wingers have been duped and our country is at danger.

Check the Facts/Data behind the claims. And please read the storyline and at least some of the details factfinding linked about.

There you have it. Stupid, gun totin', churchgoin', foxnews watching rubes elected Trump. Maybe free speech and our electoral system should be scrapped in favor of technocrats and educated libs.

Naw, man. We're all grown ups. There's another election in less than 18 months.

I think including churchgoin' in that litany weakens it. My guess is Keith is more of a churchgoer than the average Trump voter.

I did not say Fox News watchers are generally “churchgoing’ “. You suggested that. Nor did I say “churchgoin’ ” people are usually Fox News watching rubes who elected Trump. You did. Sure there are a lot of churchgoing’ people who watch Fox News and voted to Trump. But you will have to make that case correlating churchgoers (of all types) to Fox News watchers.

But I agree with your other characterizations of Fox News watchers.

As for free speech, I'm all for it for all the people; but it carries with it the responsibility of listeners to confirm the Facts spoken.

As for our "electoral system", advocate for H.R. 1 Bill (For the People Act of 2019) (first bill passed by the new Democratic House) to bring that about. That bill has been killed on arrival in the Senate by Mitch McConnell who wants the gerrymandered, voter-suppressed, foreign-government-influenced-fake-ads (iow, our current “rigged” electoral system) to continue because of the clear advantage to the GOP.
