Worth noting here that while McConnell does hold membership in a Southern Baptist church, he's not particularly involved in much, including regular attendance at worship. His ideology is not even typically Republican, it's more stick your finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing and then get as much green in your own pocket as you can scrape out of your campaign financiers. While there are more than likely plenty of Baptists who share his machiavellian political perspective, it is unfair to characterize all of that by using the Baptist name.
