I'm guessing the Dems will be chaotic enough on their own. Did Putin plant the O-C green goofball proposal?

This isn't really surprising. The Trump administration has done nothing to prevent Russian meddling, in spite of having the facts right in front of them, because they are depending on their help again if Trump's multiple attempts to stop the Mueller investigation somehow lead to his still being around to run in 2020. Other than actually hacking into voting machines, which I think was a problem the last time and which Mueller's investigation will uncover, I don't think Russian help will keep him from being beaten worse than any candidate in modern history. Since the GOP doesn't control both houses, they can't stop investigations into Russian meddling nor can they cover up the information that is brought to light like they've tried to do for the past two years.

Trump has come close to making a career out of obvious attempts to keep the information Mueller's investigation uncovered from coming to light, including strong-armed manipulation of the justice department. Remember all the shrieking and lip flapping Republicans did when Hillary was being investigated and Bill met with Loretta Lynch on a plane in Phoenix? Can you imagine their holy horror if President Obama had appointed an attorney general who openly stated that he wasn't going to prosecute Hillary even if the investigation turned up wrongdoing?

The candidates are on to the tactics by now. And so, by the message they sent in November, are the voters.
