Trump's Lack of Attention to Governing

Postby KeithE » Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:23 pm

It is clear that Trump is obsessed with defending himself during his 60% “Executive Time” and other times. Any employee would be fired if they were to work less than 1/2 time.

Trump Has Publicly Attacked the Russia Investigation More Than 1,100 Times. That takes time.

Trump’s Two-Year War on the Investigations Encircling Him. This is mostly a history of his attempts to obstruct justice (who knows how many phone calls, discussions with lawyers, PR people, and personal mulling over existential matters this has consumed).

One could argue, it is the LW media that had created this problem. I do not think so - it's Trump's own demagoguery, self-serving acts, many scandals, lies (all previously documented herein) and his lack concentration on governing. Media just doing its job (opportunity-rich environment).

Not only does Trump not work full days, Trump’s vacation days are also excessive.

Irregardless, it is time for Trump to step down (Nixon did this when he was encircled by his own - much less - misdeeds) just to make the country’s leadership operable again.

If he does not resign (or die from hamburgers), it is past time for impeachment to begin.

I guess you are one of those who would excuse Trump for murdering someone on Madison Street in plain sight.

Not fake news. I had the street wrong - it was 5th Avenue.

https://www.cnn.com/2016/01/23/politics/donald-trump-shoot-somebody-support/index.html

"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Trump said at a campaign rally here.

This points out that Trump thinks he has played mind games with his voters (and supporters who “yawn” at each of Trump's misdeeds).

And maybe he has. Would you “yawn” at his committing murder?

He hasn't committed murder but you keep an eye on things. And Mark November 3, 2020 on your calendar.

Basically Trump (in the I could commit murder quote) is likening his base of supporters to those women he earlier said would let him grab their genitalia just because he was rich and famous. Of course, to the extent that he is correct in the comparison, this means that those Trump supporters don't mind at all being likened to those women. Which is really bizarre, and doesn't bode well for humanity.
