Moderate political voices?

Are there any moderate political voices out there? Or can you only find liberal or conservative radio shows? (Far left or far right?)

Although I really think you are just commenting on the extreme political polarization in this country (a fact that Putin is celebrating), I’ll offer:

Radio/TV Show: I find (usually) calm discussion on the Washington Journal https://www.c-span.org/series/?washingtonJournal in the mornings.

Blog: Just found this - so I cannot substantiate its claim of “moderate” http://themoderatevoice.com. Posted articles today lean anti-Trump (like any good “moderate” voice should).

I’m sure there are more.

Of course supporting (or not) Trump even on just a few issues casts oneself as being far left or far right by your opponents. That usually leads into immediate thoughtless bluster/animus toward any radio show/blog/or personality. As always, consideration of facts (often found in DATA) is the only truly rational (moderate?) way out of this sharp polarization

Shouldn’t this be on the Politics and Public Policy Forum? I doubt you were wanting “moderate voices” in the Baptist world of religious thought.

Thanks! And yes, I did post to the wrong forum. But, I just moved it. So we are good.

I hunt around for radio and satellite stations and most of them hard hard right or hard left, not much in between.

That's one of our major problems in that advertising dollars follow that which gets folks stirred both in support of their base and in anger toward that with which they disagree. Moderate content seems most often in PBS and NPR than anywhere else in our culture. Centrists don't seem to do much more than invite the extreme left and right to harangue them. There is a great vacuum in the middle of the dialogue. Interestingly, in general elections, at least in the past, the left and right both tried to move to the center in the dialogue, but only so far at the risk of losing their extreme bases.
