I see Sessions says illegal-immigrant families will routinely, and without exception, be split up (so, I suppose, the adults can be incarcerated and the kids can be deported). And yesterday I heard Mattis speaking in glowing terms about an Afghan he interrogated about fighting against the US invaders. Sounded like he was eager to see the guy immigrate, at the very least he sympathized with the guy's rationale for trying to kill Americans. And maybe once the Koreas are reunited, Kim can immigrate to the US and build a cult following in Hollywood.

At the same time, Melania is calling for taking care of your children.

It seems this is to dehumanize the people who are here without proper documentation. If we can dehumanize those who come to this country it's easier to ship them out because we really don't believe they are human and certainly they are not equal to the rest of us.

At Tijuana (where that asylum-seeking caravan went to seek asylum), the process of applying for asylum requires the applicant to step into the United States "illegally". Sometimes I am not real fond, let alone proud, of my country.

Until we have a Congress with enough brains, guts, and care to fix the system, we will continue to have racist demagoguery ruling our system. George W made a common sense proposal that both parties wouldn't tackle for fear of losing their next election. I'm looking for members of the House and Senate who care enough about doing the right thing to risk losing their jobs.
