I'm betting most pastors then are going to get less than a 2% tax cut, probably less than a 1.5% tax cut. Wow! so worth it for evangelical pastors who supported the GOP.

I guess "benefits balanced and shared by all Americans" isn't a GOP value. Nor is religious freedom.

In fairness, Ryan insisted he come back, saying it was his (Ryan's) duty because it was for the good of the House. I think a whole lot of GOP incumbents told him this would not help in November.

Every Baptist ought to be opposed to ceremonial religion represented by house and senate chaplains. It's the same principle as when Nixon had worship services in the White House East Room with guests chosen to say favorable words to his administration. Church and state entanglements and paid prophets risk the possibility of true religion.
