The bad joke of the week: "It's so cold in Washington that the politicians actually have their hands in their own pockets."

Based on an online calculator that I ran my salary through, I may get a smallish tax cut. But my daughter, who makes far less than I do, will get a tax increase because she will lose the deduction on her student loan payments and the tax cut also is regressive. How does it makes sense that a middle income clergy will get a tax cut and a church secretary will pay more taxes?

As I used the online tool, the more you made the higher percentage tax cut your got, the less you made the less of a break you got, by percentage, not just dollar.
