Net Neutrality Vote Likely to Pass Today.

The FCC is expected to repeal its net neutrality rules today, in a sweeping act of deregulation

Let’s watch how Dems and the Repugs vote- predicted to be a party line vote

Yet
Poll: 83 percent of voters support keeping FCC's net neutrality rules

Another instance demonstrating Congress listen far more to their big corporate donors and their party leadership than to their people. :censored: :censored:

Reuters (and Yahoo) has reported that the 2015 rules have been repealed.

Since churches and other non-profits will not pay for better highways on the internet, guess who will now be at the bottom of the food chain online.

As far as I can tell I am in favor of the rules that were just repealed, but I would point out that we only had them working for us for a couple of years, and somehow we managed to make it to 2015 without them. I don't think it's the end of the world. Yet.

Yes, Leland, I had a similar thought about removing rules that have only been in place two years and going back to the way things were. The world and the web probably won't crash tomorrow.

Nevertheless, this is a very critical issue for some people, with the day's events apparently even including a bomb threat:
Underscoring the intensity surrounding net neutrality, Pai’s comments were interrupted when FCC security officers ordered the packed meeting room cleared. The meeting was suspended for about 10 minutes while the room was swept after an apparent bomb threat.

Let's wait and see if they slow down, or bump up the price for Baptistlife.com.
