Strict Voter ID Laws Do Matter

Hil lost. She was an appallingly poor candidate running a deplorable campaign against the most flawed candidate in recent history and she lost by the rules in place for both candidates. It's silly to complain about voter suppression in Wisconsin when she didn't even deign to campaign there. Time to move on.

You might have mentioned that the study behind the "voter suppression" was done by a Democratic party affiliated, union funded, Soros funded outfit...but why complicate a nice declarative assertion with more facts than necessary?

Gerrymandering is so sophisticated these days with mass data being available to legislators, I suspect SCOTUS will decide to limit it and there will be winners and losers. It's a little ridiculous.

Democrats could always win some elections and gain control of state houses and be back in the driver's seat but that would require them to actually have a plan and campaign on it. Now that coronations seem to be out of fashion, maybe they will try it.

You keep saying it so I'll keep saying it. The only other individual in democratic, electoral history who gathered more votes than Hillary was Barack Obama. That's in a system designed around an antiquated system to protect a segment of voters from democratic reform, called the "Electoral College." There's also something not right about the convoluted lines on the ground called "congressional districts," which are also created to protect a segment of voters from democratic reform. Democratic candidates have,collecivelly, gathered more votes than Republicans going all the way back to the first mid-term during Clinton's first term The courts are doing something about that in 14 states now, including Pennsylvania, where voters have consistently given 55% of the vote, or better, to Democrats running for congress for four decades now.

There is one thing that the Donald and I do agree on. There was massive fraud in the 2016 election. And it was to benefit his campaign. Were that not the case, neither he, nor his cronies and many of his fellow Republicans, would be moving heaven and earth to try to stop the investigation into it, or cover up what they did.

If sources and funding don't matter then perhaps we should see no more references to Kochs, etc. They do matter. It's a simple caveat to your point. The biggest amount came from Paloma Partners a hedge fund that was a heavy Hil supporter and funder.

The extent to which gerrymandering is done these days is ridiculous.

Just a disclaimer on a tangent here. George Soros was raised speaking Esperanto, and used the language to escape Communist Hungary. Nevertheless, I am not acquainted with George Soros and he has never funded anything I did to the tune of more than maybe a couple hundred bucks, if that.
