Actually, there appears to be doubt as to whether the system "worked," whatever that means. Clinton lost votes based on false information being spread by a foreign government through a computer hacking system, and somehow, miraculously, her opponents' campaign was able to pick up on the exact contents of the forged emails within hours of their being dumped onto the internet. Its hard to tell how many votes that affected, or whether that would have made a difference in the razor thin margin by which Trump won. At any rate, while the buffoon got into office via a slanted system that values some votes more than others, the phrase "the American people have spoken" or "the will of the people" does not apply. 56% of all voters cast a ballot for someone other than the buffoon, and his major opponent won the confidence of three million more of them. The will of the people was that Hillary Clinton be the next president, and that was abrogated by the deliberate interference of a foreign power's intelligence and spying agencies, and an antiquated, outdated system that skews the value of the votes cast by the people.
There's no longer a question of whether the Russians interfered, that's been established by the evidence, along with at least one of the ways they interfered. It also appears that there's no question about the involvement of Trump campaign officials. As the right wing was screeching about the investigation of Hillary, and arguing that she shouldn't be elected because it would create a "constitutional crisis," since the current president is under direct CIA and FBI investigation, it stands to reason, if the conservatives are right, that this is a constitutional crisis. And since the buffoon's attorney general is recused, and they have to keep an Obama administration justice department attorney on the job because he was assigned the case, they don't have many options to obfuscate or block this, hence, summoning Nunes to the White House for what turns out to be a desperation briefing.
If this were just a political show, it might be fun to watch the buffoon and his KKK White House staff twist in the wind, and see the lies get bigger as the pressure gets greater. Conservatives already hate him, so it will be interesting to see where the tipping point is for them (if health care hasn't already pushed it there). Many Evangelicals think he's the direct result of divine prophecy, the forerunner of the second coming, and justify his anti-Christian behavior and remarks by saying that God has used bad people in the past, which is sort of a backhanded indictment, isn't it? But the country is in serious danger, if it does not put a stop to this, and quickly. Trump is opening the door to Putin to infiltrate and put his people in every government agency.
