I was appalled yesterday by President Trump's trivialization of religion. A National Prayer Breakfast should be just that--a prayer breakfast. First, the POTUS engaged in a bad joke about praying for Arnold Swarzenager (sp ?) because of the ratings he isn't getting on Trump's former show. Then he drifted into talking about the Johnson Amendment. Where was the serious call to prayer about the issues facing our country? He seemed to turn Christianity into a thing for ratings of his (still) TV show and make a political speech as though the highest priority was getting a pulpit political voice. Whoever wrote his speech didn't have a clue about prayer and its place.
