And it more fits Trump than Bill. Apparently Bill's infidelities were consensual. Trump has admitted to committing assault, though he now denies it. So, why now is Dobson a support of Trump? It is bizzare that the party that brought impeachment charges against Bill for his relationship with Monica Lewinski could now turn around and support a candidate for whom similar behavior by Bill would have certainly gotten Bill not only impeached but also convicted in the Senate.

IIRC, the impeachment charges against President Clinton were not for for his relationship with Monica Lewinski, but for perjury and obstruction of justice (which, of course, relate back to that).

First, Sandy and Tim, I would ask whether you agree with the substance of James Dobson's quote?

Second, I think we all know why a party will support something in their own party that they will oppose if it happens in the other party. For the most part, Republicans are going to support Republicans regardless of what they do, and Democrats are going to support Democrats regardless of what they do.

I would agree with Dobson that there is a code of ethics for the presidency. I would also agree that Dobson's support of Trump makes him a hypocrite.
