Put it in context. The hedge fund contributions are mainly coming from the primary period. Trump's campaign is in disarray when it comes to fund raising, and he is way, way behind in all categories of fund raising. Wall Street contributions tend to gravitate toward candidates that they see as bringing economic stability, and with the record of Republicans on economic issues, going back to the 1980's it is easy to see why they tend to like Democrats. Also, these are mainly PAC contributions, not direct contributions.
