One interesting twist from the RNC. Melania Trump made a declaration in her speech of how long she and Donald had been together. Unless my math is wrong, that was two years before he was divorced from Marla. Funny how Jerry Falwell, Jr., was praising them as a devoted couple.

It is all relative WIlliam. Near treason from Trump versus doing something financial that Reapublican normally would praise as good business sense if one of their own did it. You can't be pro-business for GOPers and then critique Clinton for making some money with investments.

Just as an FYI WIlliam, I'm not anti-banking or anti-Wall Street. I have money in inevestments myself that I hope some day will let me retire. I'm not a Bernie Bro, I don't blame Wall Street for everything.

Put it in context. The hedge fund contributions are mainly coming from the primary period. Trump's campaign is in disarray when it comes to fund raising, and he is way, way behind in all categories of fund raising. Wall Street contributions tend to gravitate toward candidates that they see as bringing economic stability, and with the record of Republicans on economic issues, going back to the 1980's it is easy to see why they tend to like Democrats. Also, these are mainly PAC contributions, not direct contributions.

I'm just a troublemaker on this but what I want is for the Hil True Believers (that'd be T & S) to make the simple acknowledgment that Hil is closely tied to WS and they think they can get things from her. Typical politics as usual. They pay her hundreds of thousands/millions for throwaway speeches for a reason.

Funny as heck to hear a Republican, the party of big business, Wall Street and big dollars critiquing a candidate for going out and making money. I guess I'll have to get used to it. If Mrs. Clinton was acting like a left wing progressives you would criticize. If she acts more middle of the road and a bit more like. Republican, you criticize. D&mned if you do, d&mned if you don't.

At the same time WIlliam, you've tried to indicate that I might be some kind of socialist. Yet the GOP candidate is sucking up to actual communists. The scale of the problems with Trump are so very large that as long as Mrs. Clinton is breathing she is a better candidate. (Even if she wasn't breathing she might still be a better candidate.)
