Kaine is a pretty impressive senator from VA. He is not flashy, but he is solid. He also doesn't mind if you disagree with him on issues or policy. I was surprised and impressed by Hillary's choice.

Not sure if I like the bank deregulation stuff, but otherwise I've seen nothing less than stellar.

I want to check out his views on bank deregulation and other Dodd Frank matters as well as the TPP and climate change. But I'm like Haruo, Kaine is vey impressive and a true progressive as shown by his 17 years as a lawyer for the trampled upon.

In fact I wish he was at the top of the ticket. With the vitriol against Hillary the VP slot is very important.

I'd also be willing to vote for Tim Kaine for President after Hillary gets her turn. It is good to see a candidate who has long term viability for the Dems.

All I have say Ed is "Trump." What the DNC is being accused of pales by comparison to what the GOP has already allowed to happen.

Today's news from the Democrats is small potatoes stuff compared to the RNC's week of disorder. It's a squabble that has been brewing for a while, and was a way for the Sanders campaign to assert themselves prior to the convention. Bigger news is that it seems that in addition to the Ku Klux Klan, the Russians are attempting to sway the election in Trump's favor.

Kaine was a great choice for VP in a lot of ways. One, he's not up for re-election this year, in a key swing state where the governor is a Democrat, and where he's personally popular enough to secure the state's electoral votes in November. So they don't risk a senate seat, they gain a key swing state that significantly narrows the opponent's electoral path, and they get an articulate, popular candidate who is a political asset.

Clinton beat Sanders about 15 Million votes to 12.8 Million. No matter how you slice it more Americans wanted Hillary to be the nominee than Sanders. Sanders supporters may not like it. But the number are what they are. He came in second and made a stronger showing than many expected and now Bernie Bros can't stand it and have sour grapes.

The accusation that the DNC favored Hillary is not new. The media has been on such a high, and has been kept busy this past week with one major issue after another. Controversy keeps the ratings going, and now, on the sidelines, with Faux News faltering and crumbling, there's some competition for viewers. But Hillary already has Sanders' endorsement, and at this point in the campaign, at least according to several of the Sunday news programs, more party support than Obama had at this point in 2008.
