I've been trying to sort something out over the past couple of months. The Pro-Life movement says that all life is sacred and made in the image of God, whether that life is "in utero" or has been born. The movement will go to all lengths to try to prevent the termination of pregnancy through abortion. Yet, the care of most of those children who might have been aborted falls under the Medicaid system. Since that life is "sacred before God," shouldn't the top priority of the Pro-Life movement be focused on getting the Medicaid extension passed in the various state legislatures which have not adopted it as a part of their commitment to life? It would seem, given their reasoning about life, they would have no choice. What do you think?
