Potential for an eventual 11 feet (= 3.5 m) sea level rise in addition to the West Antarctica’s 7 feet - not in our lifetimes but “we” have started the process (which is difficult to reverse).

This is about the glaciers over land not the relative thin rim of sea ice receiving this melt (some refreezes).

Somebody believes in sea level rise. The US Navy is currently spending our tax money at Naval Station Norfolk to insure that sea level rises of a foot or two will not put the base out of commission.

The cost to protect coastal communities from a 1 meter rise would be between for just the US. The always cautious IPCC says that will not happen until at least 2200. But the lastest says by 2100 the sea level rise will be between 1 and 4 feet (.33 - 1.3m).
