It feels like our democracy is more and more dysfunctional every day. It also feels like it is more and more to the benefit of the rich, the powerful, and the corporations and less and less for the people. It causes me to worry about our future as a nation.

Any attempt to empower the people is now labeled "liberal" "socialist" etc. when in years past many of those ideas pre-Paul, pre-Cruz and mostly pre-Reagan would have been part of the Republican platform.
