Even the as reported in the WSJ. These are two traditionally conservative organizations- IMF and WSJ.
I know this is DOA in the bought-off Congress, but the Progressive Caucus would be a giant improvement for economic growth and US jobs and for reducing US inequality and badly needed infrastructure repair/upgrade and Alternative Energy. Read it all by clicking “Open with Preview” to get full .pdf. It reduces the deficit down to 1.4% by 2024 of GDP (current law has it at 4% by 2024 where it stands today - Figure A in .pdf) and it eliminates the growth in inequality (does not fix it but stops its continuing growth under current law).
The quite formable challenges standing in our way are (a) the near-term profit motives of the giant corporations, (b) their hold on the Congress, (c) the duped Right Wing voting against their own interest to keep the bought-off Congress and (d) Obama’s lack of leadership in controlling military costs (China pays 1/5 the cost to defend more people) and health care costs (via a single-payer system;like Europe who pays 1/2 the cost for health care).
