I’m aware that the Antarctic Sea Ice has not been decreasing (but not aware it has increased that much in the last three years as the DATA on your video shows). But that increase is probably due to Antarctic Glacial melting into the sea becoming sea ice extent spreading as the glacial melt water freezes. That has been the reasoning for the lack of Antarctica melting compared the Arctic which is not capped by land.
Again the real issue is sea ice
volume since the ocean sea level rise involves water volume not extent. I’ve already given the plot of that volume from the Univ of Washington wrt to the Arctic sea ice cap. I’ll try to find the equivalent for the Antarctic perhaps tonight.
I will also find and plot the latest trend of the sea level rise which is the ultimate indicator of
one of GW bad effects (there are plenty other bad effects). Sea level rise accounts for sea ice volume melts/growth, glacial melts/growth, and importantly thermal expansion/contraction of ocean water due to its temperature.
Hey I’ll commit to going to the Global Warming Bowl if Stanford plays Oklahoma State, if you will.
