Duke proff Curtis Freeman's facebook wall is lit up this afternoon with a chat about this piece above. Foy Valentine's ex son in law Lee Berg's dissertation on the subject is referenced out of the barn on this chat. And I have entered Ed Young's ass pastor Jim Deloach, as well as Jim Demint into the conversation with invitation for the subjects to frame the larger picture with Joe Crespino's Strom Thurmond's America.

BTW heated exchanges on Furman's public facebook wall today about the upcoming lecture by Jesse Jackson, Oct 30

Was grand in his opening analysis yesterday about what the Tea Party means for the GOP and the rest of us. Grand recent rightwing history going back to 50's Nat Review set up through Reagan. And this morning panel on www.drshow.org laid waste to the whole Tea Party/Fox News Lying agenda, but why it should be of concern to the rest of us.
