We’ve had an uncommonly high amount of rain which cools things down.
Meanwhile the world’s average surface air temperature for was June the second hottest in record (1998 the peak El Nino year was the highest). May and July about normal for the 2000’s.
Scan to the bottom to see latest data and while you are scanning look at the increases over the decades. The 2000’s+ are by far the warmest decade. Stuck on high and damage* is being done.
*Arctic melting, sea acidity growing, Plankton dying, oceans warming, glaciers melting (Glacier NP hardly has any glaciers left), extreme weather (droughts, heavy rain, heat waves) increasing, wildfires more plentiful, sea level rising (not bad so far but more is in the pipeline), biodiversity being threatened,....
