It is interesting that the term "scandal" is even being used by the allegedly "liberal" press. I'm still waiting for the scandal to be defined and pointed out. In any of the three recent issues, which are fast fading from the public radar because most people don't think they are worth bothering with, there is no evidence whatsoever that any laws were broken. In fact, in the investigations involving the reporters, the Bush administrations snoop laws, put in place to help keep track of terrorists (or terists, as Dub used to say) made the entire thing legal, and possible. Investigating groups applying for tax exempt status with the IRS is neither against the law, or against IRS policy, though some might say doing it only to "tea party groups" is unfair. However, it is interesting, as that investigation sinks to the back pages, to note that tea party groups were not the only ones investigated. It's made Boehner's statement about someone going to jail look as ridiculous as it was when he said it. Benghazi is still as bereft of any evidence of scandal, wrongdoing, or incompetence as it always has been.
I predict that this grasping of straws, and inflating importance attempted by the GOP's extremists, will lead to a complete collapse of the party, and to the Democrats increasing their senate majority and gaining the house in the mid-term elections. You don't see Fox or the right wing media pointing to those polling services that are gearing up to measure public opinion regarding the mid-terms, mainly because the blue data is showing a disaster for the GOP.
