You post some interesting numbers, Keith. Allow me to add a few comments:
* Bush's worst deficit as a percent of GDP was 3.5% in 2004 which includes war spending.
* In 2007, Bush's deficit as a percent of GDP was 1.2%. Working backwards to 2004, those figures are 1.9% and 2.6%
The LOWEST estimated Obama deficit as a percentage of GDP through 2017 is 3% in that year, without having to fund war spending.
So "did you know" that even if Obama's estimates are correct - and that's a BIG IF - he STILL is deficit spending more in peacetime than Bush did in all but a couple of years while conducting the operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's some real efficient, accountable gov'ment for you Keith. And you folks think the government needs more money? You can't be trusted with what you have already. If Obama was one of the dudes in Jesus' parables on the talents, he'd lose his talent to the other guys.
Convenient that you or your source did not chart any of the Bush years.
