It’s been quiet at the PPP Forum. Here is a list of provocative articles mostly from Common Dreams and Think Progress on a variety of political subjects. Comment on as many as you would like.
My costs in 2014 would be $10,172/year (no subsidy) and a max out-of-pocket costs of $6250 per year. That is just for myself ( I wish it gave more family unit options than just single person and family of 4). I’ll be 63 in Jan 2014 and I used the "medium” regional factor. Numbers seem to be the same for any incomes over $46,000K/year. Below that and it would be subsidized (e.g. if say a retired 63 year old had income of $40,000K, premiums would be $3800/year and max out of pocket of $4167 /year, go figure)
I see where the the $20K comes from for family of 4 with an income of $120K and a family head age of 50 who does not have private insurance through employment. Knock that income down to $70K and it is subsidized and costs $6,626/year with out of pocket max of $6250. Count on TownHall to give the most egregious example.
But is a better way, imo.
