Obviously, majoritarian tyranny has overruled First Amendment rights in some classrooms in Texas. Texas Baptists, who were some of the strongest leaders for founding the Baptist Joint Committee, need to recover their roots and stand up for the rights of all people. They were certainly strong for those rights when they were a minority in a largely Catholic state.
