I read another article today listing just the lies that Ryan told in his convention speech. Some of them were astounding mistatements.

You know, I have no problem with people disagreeing or taking different sides on issues. I do have a big problem with mischaraterizations, twisting the words of others and just out and out telling lies about another's views and position. The Romney campaign has had an astounding record of not being able to tell the truth.

Here is what I believe will happen if Mitt Romney gets elected. It will be GW Bush's failed style of policies all over again only worse because Ryan will further influence Romney to not only get tax cuts for the rich but also to ditch the poor. Ryan wants to remove Pell Grants for college students for example. Romney himself has promised that as soon as he is in office he will stop the affordable care act and thereby remove hundreds of young people off of their parents insurance. I could make a list a page long of just the things Romney has already promised to do that benefits the rich and the expense of the poor or ditches help for those in need.

Now if you want the government to be about widening the gap between rich and poor even further by all means vote Romney. Unless you and Trudy have more money than I think you do, you'll be voting against your own best interest.

Romney doesn't have a reputation of fixing failed businesess. Yes, he helped with the Olympics. But most of his reputation is that of one who dismantles business and ships their jobs overseas.

Honestly the Republican party wouldn't even want Romney if they had a strong candidate that wasn't a loon like Bachmann, Herman Cain, Ron Paul, etc. The only other solid candidate was Newt. And He's too negative arrogant to get himself elected anymore.

Romney isn't the victor so much as he is the left-overs.

I watched the GOP cheerleaders rally long enough to catch a businessman's (Archuletta) bragging about how he built his business by himself. He failed to mention an $850,000 loan guarantee from the SBA, and his relationship with a couple of gummint organizations which improved the quality of his product. And the CEO of Staples telling us that Romney's Bain contacts guided his store to establishing and hiring 17,000 jobs --- Staples only improvement in the sales biz was to deliver vast amounts of office materials at cheaper prices. I wondered how many of those 17,000 jobs were filled by ex-employees of smaller office-sales companies that could not compete with the big-box stores.

Figures don't lie. But . . . . . . .

The Dems quadrennial rally is coming up. Must I anticipate more of the same? *
