ET, there are a lot of folks on "your side" of the divide on this stuff who at least talk as if "government regulation" is ipso facto bad; it is easy for those of us on this side of the divide to get the notion that you all really think that. And in the absence of limits e.g. on corporate "contribution$$" to the discussion, it is hard for me to see how those who benefit from corporate monopolies (of the sort Matto complains about) can be kept from sabotaging any efforts to empower the government to regulate fairly and evenly.
