Franklin Graham: "Great evangelical sell out"

Postby Stephen Fox » Thu Dec 29, 2016 10:28 am

So says Bill Leonard and I agree.

Here is a little Christian mostly Baptist history rightly told.

I am also testifying on my facebook wall

As an unashamed Evangelical, a third generation Baptist, and a Pastor, I have nothing but respect and great love for Billy Graham. However, his son, Franklin is an embarrassment to Baptists, Evangelicals, Preachers and his own family. He claims the Lord with his mouth and denies him with his actions and politics. His statement of faith is in the vein of Caesar is Lord. He acts like his second birth never happened. Jesus weeps.

Well, speaking theologically and not politically, I must disagree with Leonard when he concludes that "I’ll be damned (speaking theologically) if I’ll attribute any election in the USA as negotiated by the God who sent Jesus into the world." I am predestinarian enough to believe that God has negotiated every election in the USA (perhaps not for the same reasons Franklin Graham thinks), every Pharoah that was raised up in Egypt, and every despot who has ever been (e.g Psalm 75:7; Daniel 2:21).
